SO what was it like to read Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy ?
so TO say the least this books isn't on my top ten for best books but its up in the best 15. THis books had a great mix of humor, crime, and just complete randomness. WHen I started reading this books for my book club I was a little disappointed that It was not the book I wanted that they choose. However one member of my book club assured me that the book was one of his all time favorites, so I thought I would give it a try. WHile I was reading the book it kept on getting better and better. SOon I was laughing in the middle of ssr with no explanation for any one else. The story plot however was very hidden in my opinion and could be better stated was a collection of random events occurring one after each other. The best part of the story is when they are on the planet, I can say i never saw any of the things that happened coming. WHile I was reading it I would think, "what would happen If i was the main character". It also spurred me to think about the universe and the never ending space that is with in it. IT also made me very happy when they talked about the technology of the future and the AI. The AI was just amazing and what it could do, of course Im being sarcastic because the whole time the AI only did one thing and that was find the answer to the great question. To someone who isn,t into sci-fi or just complete randomness this books would not be good for them. I really didn't learn much about my self during the book but I did confirm that every once and a while I like to read a good old fashion comical book. One thing I never noticed was how fast the ending of the book came, at one point I am starting the book, the next moment I am finishing the book. WHen i was looking the book up for this project I found out there was several other books in the series, know this I think I may read another book in the series at a later time. For the project I did something I don't normally do and that i keep a note card for a book mark. I did this so I could keep track of vocab words that I didn't know that popped up in the book. Over all though I would give the book a 8.5/10 and I would recommend it for anyone in 8-12th grade.
